Book Blogger Confession Tag

Happy Monday my Friend!

I  thought I’d do something a little different this week and do the BookBlogger Confessions Tag – I’m pretty sure this is an old tag but I thought it would be a great way for you to get to know me a little better and find out my book confessions. 🙂

Which book, most recently, did you not finish?

That would be ‘Breakfast at Darcy’s’ by Ali Mcnamara. I just got really bored and the characters were flat. Nothing interesting really happened, which for a book is never a good thing.

Which book is your guilty pleasure?

I don’t believe in guilty pleasures, you like what you like and there shouldn’t be a problem! However, if we are putting things in this category, then it would have to be ‘The Kissing Booth’ by Beth Reekles. It’s an atrociously written book, but it makes me happy.

Which book do you love to hate?

I feel like a lot of people will say this….. ‘Twilight’. It’s just….

Let’s move on.

Which book have you read the most?

‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ I’ve read this one over and over again, mainly the beginning, because I think we can all agree that the ending is something no one would want to relive!

Which book could you not live without?

‘Pride and Prejudice’ – A work of art that only gets better with time!

Which book disappointed you recently?

Without a shadow of a doubt ‘The Ruin’ by Dervla McTiernan. It did not live up to the hype and the plot was predictable. It wasn’t awful, but I was expecting more from a book that won three awards and had that many reviews on the front cover. (eleven in total which is too much for a book cover, in my opinion.)

Which book made you cry the most?

‘The Fault In Our Stars’ by John Green. I’ve not read this one in years, but when I did I sobbed!

What book would you recommend to everyone?

‘Calm The F##k Down’ by Sarah Knight. It’s a motivational book which I think everyone could benefit from. Or really any of Sarah’s books!

What book got you into reading?

I grew up with a lot of christian authors/books and to be frank most of them are dreadful! But, there was a book series that made me completely fall in love with reading books and reading romance with kick ass female characters; it’s ‘The Brides of Galatin County’ by Tracie Peterson. It’s a historical fiction and I remember falling in love with the characters and re-reading scenes over and over again because I loved it so much.

What genre do you mostly read?

Last year I would have said romance/historical fiction. However, this year my reading habits have been so random and crossed so many genres I don’t think I really know. My favourite genre is still probably romance, with a little bit of fantasy thrown in.
