Welcome to Writers Wednesday!

Welcome to another blog post you lovely human! I’m so happy that you’ve taken the time to stop and read – it means the world to me ❤

For today’s post, I wanted to share something that’s personal to me but something I love and am so excited about. Among my many loves and obsessions is one that has infiltrated nearly every aspect of my life (especially recently) and one that I honestly can’t imagine living without.

I’ve always wanted to tell stories. From making up characters in my head, to thinking up odd scenarios that intrigue me. Reading or watching something that sparks an idea and just running it with it until the juices run out. My goal is a simple one, but a difficult one to accomplish. I want to be a published author. I want to see my book on the shelves of the bookstores I haunt and see my characters and their world be one of the many in the rows of brilliant stories just waiting to be picked up and devoured.

However, I will admit, my choice of career is not the most reliable, stable, easiest, or collaborative one that I could have decided on. It’s me, my laptop, and my imagination. But, like most of the writers I know when people ask them why they write their answer is a simple one: because they can’t not.

So far I’ve got two novels I’m working on, a short story and a novella that have been keeping me up till the wee hours of the morning. I wanted to share this experience with you, because it’s scary and amazing, but also really tough at times. So, each week on this blog will be ‘Writers Wednesday’ – a place where I’ll talk about my own works, analyse other peoples, and offer a boost of inspiration if you are also like me – feeling like a very small fish in a freaking massive pond that is writers and writing.

Check back on Wednesday for the first post of this new series!

I’d also love to hear from you and get your writing experience! Or what really inspires you and makes you want to chase this beautiful form of art.
