Starting this blog has been amazing. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for so long and I’m so happy that I can dedicate a lot of time to it. To make it a place that people love coming to, either for reassurance that their fine just the way they are, book recommendations, skincare tips that I’ve found super helpful, or just for a bit of cosy reading. However, I realised that you all probably don’t know an awful lot about me, so let’s rectify that shall we!
I’m an English soul, living in Australia. Even though I’ve lived here for over half of my life, I still feel my english heritage, down to the tea I drink and the way I say ‘lovely’, (apparently I say it very poshly).
I am a pianist by trade, I play and teach and it’s something I adore doing! I’ve been playing for over eleven years and I love it.
I’m twenty-one and have been married for over a year now, (I know, shock horror, I’m married at twenty-one) to the most wonderful man and I’ve never been happier.
I’m vegetarian and have been for over a decade, and I’m super passionate about it. Animal welfare, and environmental conversations are something we all need to be having a lot more of!
I have Generalised Anxiety Disorder, which sucks, but it’s something I’m learning to control and live with. Because contrary to popular opinion, you can have a mental illness and still live a full and happy life! It’s hard and can be awful to live with, but one day at a time.
I’m allergic to nearly everything! Dust, mould, grass, fur, and so many other things it’s hard to keep track of. Which has made my love of animals a strained relationship, that I have no intention of giving up on! I’ve had a lot of health problems over the years but thankfully, for the time being at least, they are all under control.
I watch a copious amount of TV, but I think it balances out with how many books I read, so I don’t feel too bad. I also have an obsession with pinterest, but I just can’t stop!
I am a firm believer that more kindness and compassion are necessary in this world, and we all need to show it a bit more.
